Book the carpet cleaning after the last box leaves and before the new keys change hands. That one bit of timing saves more headaches on a Portland move than anything else we know.
We do a lot of move-related work up here. Families sell in Heritage Chase or Hunters Crossing and buy something bigger down the road, renters hand back the keys on a house in Drakewood, and landlords need a unit ready for the next tenant by Friday. The carpet is almost always on the checklist, and it's almost always the last thing anyone thinks about.
Moving out
An empty room is the easiest carpet we clean all year. Every inch is reachable, and the dents and dirt lines under old furniture finally show. We lift that soil without flooding the floor, and the carpet is usually dry inside an hour. On move-out day that's a big deal. The realtor or the property manager can walk through that afternoon in socks.
Moving in
Some people want a clean start before their own things come off the truck, and we get it. You don't know who lived there or what the dog did in the back bedroom. We walk the house with you first, look for old pet spots and stains, and pre-treat anything that needs it. If there's urine in the pad, our pet odor treatment uses live enzymes that soak down to where the smell is actually coming from.
Rentals and turnovers
Landlords care about two things: the unit looking right and the unit being ready on time. We help with both. There's no soap residue to attract dirt, so the carpet holds up better through the next lease, and the fast dry time means the painters aren't stuck waiting on us.
The rest of the house
Kitchens and bathrooms show their age in the grout. Our tile and grout cleaning runs a machine buffer over the floor to scrub the buildup out of the lines, which does a lot for how a house shows. Pair it with the carpet cleaning and one visit covers the floors.
Sellers, one more thing: get the carpet cleaned before the listing photos, too. Clean carpet photographs lighter and makes rooms look bigger, and dark traffic lanes are one of the first things buyers notice on a showing. A quick touch-up after the movers leave is easy to add.
Portland has its own number with us, 629-462-7791. Give us your closing or move-out date and we'll work backward from it.
